I had a teacher who would tell me I wasn’t using watercolor correctly when I would come to class with assignments, and she never really told me what I was doing wrong. So I think I’m still a little skeptical about the work I create with it. Also, the blue guy’s face didn’t turn out as expected so I was a little upset with that.

You’re sometimes using it in a more controlled way, and in other places you let the raw edges show. (compare:shadow on right leg of blue man and shadow on cat shirt). It fits well with the feel of this illustration: contained and stylized but with the whimsy of pretend fearfulness.
