it is a sad day…

The legendary John Szarkowski, photographer, curator, writer, superhero, is dead. Of a stroke at age 81. For those of you who dont know, Szarkowski used to head the Walker’s photography department and became one of the first curators to acknowledge contemporary photography as art in the late 60s and early 70s. You should read about him. Amazing.
