Delicious dinner.

Today was a delicious day. Alex and I slept in (woo-hoo 10am!) and made huevos rancheros for breakfast with blueberry muffins as well! Then I was running around shooting (no, not people) so we just brought some grapes and a water bottle to keep hydrated (although today was BEAUTIFUL, did anyone else notice??). But then, for dinner, I made us spaghetti, and zucchini sauteed with garlic and chili pepper. It was amazing. Light and refreshing, with a little bit of a zing! Jump below for more exciting news!

Also in case some of you don’t read my new blog religiously, which of course I would have to kill you for (kidding… I’m kidding), you might not have read that I am the First prize winner of all of the photographs in the MN State Fair Fine Arts Competition! Totally exciting! Stop by to see it when you go to the Fair… it’s the one with the giant blue ribbon the size of my head. Also in the works is a solo show at the Center for Independent Artists in south Minneapolis (and only a few blocks from where we live, actually). They also want me to do a group show in their largest gallery space in the winter with one or two other artists, whom I get to pick! I’ve never curated a show before, so I’m totally nervous. I feel like maybe I shouldn’t pick just MCAD artists and maybe switch it up a little, but I have no idea where to start!

Does anyone know of an artist working on a project about traveling, or family, or traveling families? Maybe even humorous portraits of people? I’m stretching here… help me out.

Boyfriend is doing a big project on family photos and snapshots and the like, and he’s expanding it for senior pro potential this semester. Maybe a fit?
