Someone decided it’s winter now

Story time…

So as many of you already know, a co-worker of mine, Tanya, asked if I would house sit/ watch her dog for her. I reluctantly said yes, knowing that she lived quite a distance from MCAD (compared to the dooples location). However, things have turned out to be much more interesting. Ernie, Tanya’s dog, is the neediest dog ever. He just wants to play, play, play all day! It’s so much different than living with Genencor, who is sleep, sleep, whine all day.

Tanya’s house is in a really nice location though. It’s near a Dunn Brothers, a Co-op, and this really super-delicious bakery where I just purchased Chocolate Mint Blarney cookies and Irish Baked Potato Bread. SO SO SO GOOD, but also very expensive. I think it was worth it though.

Anyway, someone decided it’s winter now. We’ve been getting so much snow in Minneapolis and I love it. I heard that it’s been one of the worst snow storms in ten years. Spectacular. I can’t wait to go sledding. Here’s a picture out of Tanya’s front window right now:
snow!
When we were walking down the street we couldn’t even see halfway up the block!

After months with little to no snow, it seems like the snow gods have decided that it would be a good idea to smash us with their ice crystal hammers. I agree with this judgement. I love snow so much and I can’t wait to go sledding. On the other hand, we seem to be stuck here for a while, and it also means that I have to shovel the front sidewalk. I’m working on an illustration of our trek through the neighborhood right now. I also need to get started on that beer label…
