Happy New Years Eve!

Hey all!!  Happy new years eve.  Have a safe and enjoyable night!! I am still in Oregon (thankfully, or I would be stuck in Denver right now!).  I am going to one of the state schools (2 hrs away) for a big party tonight, I expect it will be wonderful fun!!
See (most of) you all soon!

Friday of excitement

Ok, so we all know the scary state of un-tidy that my poor little home has been in over the last month.  well: NOT ANY MORE! (almost), and other exciting details of Angie’s Friday.

We got done with work early (Thursday, rather than Saturday – yes, frustrating for me, who just wants to go home, but the flight is already booked, and there was a huge storm in Denver, anyway…) so this morning, I relaxed all day, didn’t even get out of bed before 4pm (except to eat).

Then, tonight, I got into the holiday spirit, did a little x-mas shopping downtown, caught a little of the holidazzle parade, walked around, bought some new shoes, and other heart-warming positives.

Upon my return home (and trying on the shoes again, realizing that I got them a size too-big, and will need to exchange them tomorrow), I began the big tidy of Fall ’06.  So far, I have cleaned the bathroom (including tub, toilet, sink, mirrors, and floor), done about 5 loads of laundry (the first since Thanksgiving, yes, I can go that long without doing laundry, scary, I know), done most of the dishes (3 loads so far), cleaned 1/2 of the kitchen, and started in on my desk.  I still have a lot to do, the living room really needs love, as does my bedroom (although the laundry makes a big impact).  If that makes you tired at all, I agree!!  (I even cleaned out my wallet)

So, tomorrow, I will finish anything I don’t finish tonight, then pack up to leave.  I get to go to someone else’s family Christmas dinner tomorrow night, which I am excited for, it will be fun.  Then I will spend the night at a friend’s in Savage, who I have convinced to take me to the airport at 4am on Sunday (hurrah!!).

I dare say this post is a little long, but it is my 10th, so I think I deserve it.  (right??)

Love you all!! And I miss you, too!  MCAD is pretty quite right now… maybe have seen about 6 people milling in the last week, and most of them were public safety!

Best Headline this week:

NASSCAR Champ Hurt in Golf Cart Accident.
Are you kidding me?  He can drive a car at 180mph, but falls out of a GOLF CART? WTF

WOOT!

Um, yeah. So, As per the last post – not only did my 2 interviews go well, but… I got the internship!! Hurrah. I will start working for the PUSH Institute in late January. PURE excitement.

Awesomeness pt 2: On wednesday, I am getting a new tattoo!! FUCK, I am excited. A little nervous, I have been warned this one is going to HURT (and to take medication before hand). And, as always, it is a little disconcerting to get something permanently inked into your skin, but I am confident (I think). It will be on my side/rib cage, and approximatly 9 inches in length (we measured).
It is going to be a dogwood branch and flower (with bud/leaf accents). Some color to accent. Dogwood is significant because I was born in BC, where it is the provincial flower (yeah, a tree is the provincial flower).

so, that’s my story and I am sticking to it! WAH!

NERVOUS!

Bleh.  Ok, I have an interview in about an hour, but it is just an informational interview, nothing to serious.  Robin and I are going to coffee, and she is going to talk to me about what she does.  No big deal, right?  Yeah, but I still want to make a good impression.  More importantly, it is a test run, BECAUSE….

I have a REAL interview on Monday!!  BAHHBEH BHAAHH BA…. yeah, that is me freaking out (reverting to incoherant blabering).  On Monday, I meet with Cecily Sommers, entrepreneur, and founding director of PUSH Institute, a internationally recognized think tank.  And she wants to meet with me!  True dat.  I hear that she is something of a fashionista, keeping with the current trends (current trends in everything is what her company deals with, so I guess it is fitting).  Either way, I have to make a good impression simply by looks, as well as wow her with my immense brain power.  SHIT!  It is an internship I would give my left nut for (assuming I had one) so it better go well!

So, wish me luck, for both interviews.  If today goes well, I will feel better about Monday.  If Monday goes well, then my life may change (for the better).

Ok, I need to get in the car now, and drive! Drive! DRIVE! :) And, clearly, lay off the caffeine.

Oh monday morning….

So, I don’t really like monday mornings, or any morning in general.  Today, I slept through my class.  And it was wonderful!  Is there something to be said for sleeping through Sr Seminar?  yeah, probably, but I did it anyway. I do what I WANT!  Now, I am housesitting for fun little Fletch, so I am going to go play with the dog.  And, tonight, I will eat turkey at school.  PURE excitement!

Filming = fun

People are starting to hear about me as an assistant director, so, that’s what I did on Saturday. (And, Dolly Grip, I might add, yeah, I have mad skills).

So, this was pretty fun/crazy. We were in a apple orchard/forest in Minnetonka somewhere. I really don’t know where we were, on the way there, I was on the floor of a van and couldn’t see out, so I literally don’t know how we got there. On the shoot, we had sasquaches, radioactive suits, and secret service, oh, and a kid who was scared of all of the above.
But, it was fun, and as usual, I had a great time (I love me some film shoots).

Why Thursday, WHY?

Thursday, why do you hate me so much, why?
I get my ass up all early for my meetings, which are cancelled only moments before they are meant to start, and now, I have to stay awake for that whole extra hour that I could have been sleeping.  Thursday, WHY??

If I didn’t have to wake up that whole extra hour early, I could have been watching Scrubs last night with the neighbors for longer.  So much longer.  Tear Thursday, you have not only tarnished today, but you tarnished Wednesday too.  What guile.

CHI, what what

Well, it was amazing. I do enjoy a little CHI town. Wish I could have had more of a “vacation” but the trip was fun regardless. Next time, I think I might amtrak it in though, that airport is something else…

Also, this coming tuesday (the 24th) is my birthday, the big 2-0. So let’s do something awesome!

I’m In!!

HAHA! Suckers.  I am totally the last one to join, but I am on now!  beat that.  (ok, so, you all did, but still)
