A ton o’ stuff

So, I’m finally making a substantial post. I’ll start with this:

I’M FLIPPIN’ FAMOUS! No, not really. But this is my first published illustration. It’s in RED magazine, which is a small thing Target publishes that’s about getting ready for college and things like that. It also has advertisements for Target products.
Ta-da!Me, the floating head.eight and nineten and eleven

Here are a few day assignments from my Editorial Illustration class. The first four are valentines… I guess. They’re lovely. The last one is about a mustache. We were supposed to write a short paragraph about a memorable mustache, a friend and I swapped stories, so I did an illustration of his dad.

    Way to go, Bill!
Very congratulations on the published illustration. I like that you used the photoshop transparency checkerboard as a background. Clever.

Bill that’s so cool! Congrats! I also really like your valentines, especially the cloud nine one. I vote that the mustached man could be made into one also, because I like him a lot and would be delighted to get a card with him on it.

We’ll be in Iowa the 17th, but also the week of Thanksgiving. I’m excited! I haven’t been there since sometime in the summer. About those RED magazines, they’re supposed to be distributed to campuses around the country, so if anyone sees one let me know!

Also, I forgot to mention I have a graphic design job. It’s scary and a little intimidating because it’s my first serious, real-life job making artwork for clients. EEEK! I’m working on beef jerky packaging. YUM! I hope I get free samples. I’m hungry.

    Nice work and congrats!
When you’re in Iowa, like I’ve mentioned before on this blog, we’ll need to go to Red Robin and make it happen.
